Best Margaritas in Midland

With summer fast approaching, the anticipation is building for all the excitement warmer weather brings to Midland. The sunshine always makes us a little thirstier – and if there’s anything Midland does right, it’s the margarita! In West Texas, any day is great for grabbing a friend and ordering a little triple sec, simple syrup, a little fresh lime, and a little (or a lot) of your favorite tequila! (We like Midland’s own @Flecha Azul Tequila, just sayin’!) Since there’s no rule against having more than one favorite, we’ve done the “dirty” work for you and compiled a great list of Midland’s best spots for a margarita – Cheers!

1. Gerardo’s Casita

When the margarita craving strikes, many think of Gerardo’s first! A long-standing local staple, Gerardo’s has perfected the classic house margarita – whether frozen or on the rocks. Jalapeno cucumber and other fruity add-ons are available, along with skinny options, at this Midland favorite.

2. Tkilaz Mexican Restaurant

Tkilaz’s menu offers an array of authentic Mexican tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, fantastic sides, and more. The drink menu, including a very popular pomegranate margarita, is just as appealing. They even offer a margarita flight! Taste test your heart out until you narrow down a favorite, or keep it simple with their best-selling house margarita. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

3. La Mision Restaurant and Cantina

La Mision’s colorful atmosphere will immediately put you in the mood for a tajin-rimmed margarita. The drinks are large and refreshing down to the last sip and pair perfectly with their delicious chips and salsa, fajitas, or enchilada plate.

4. The Bar

The Bar is a legendary Midland restaurant with great eats, cocktails, brunch, and live music. They’ve been around for over 30 years and have the clout to prove it. Test out one of their house margaritas and take in the fun atmosphere of this Midland favorite!

5. The Blue Door

For more of an upscale margarita option, check out The Blue Door. Try Tommy’s Margarita – their house option – for a polished, refreshing take on the traditional margarita. Their refined yet unpretentious environment will have you clinking your glass while sipping top-notch tequila. With a seasonally rotating menu, there is always something to come in and try!

BONUS: Chuy’s

One more! We would be remiss not to mention the amazing margarita options at Chuy’s made with fresh-squeezed lime juice. They have several margarita staples as well as a few unique options including a skinny margarita and one that’s topped with your choice of Mexican beer. Talk about options!
