2. Local Pours
For a casual break from the chaos, check out Midland’s Tall City Brewing Co. taproom. Order a flight and stay a while to sample a variety of West Texas-inspired brews. They have a weekly rotation of food trucks and growlers of beer to-go. Sample a few flagship pours, including their Haze Y’all Hazy IPA, Five Hour Drive Honey Blonde Ale, or their brand new release (Dec. 17th): Sally’s Serenade! On Thursday the 22nd, local favorite Marty G’s Cajun truck will be on-site while the brewery hosts a special Christmas-themed GLOW RUN starting at 6 pm! Definitely worth checking out.

3. Take a Walk
If you just need to get outside but aren’t looking to spend any money, we have the perfect spot. Centennial Park in downtown Midland combines the serenity of a lovely city park with the excitement of the holiday season. The gigantic Christmas tree is beautiful day or night, and the park is lined with beautiful, classy holiday decorations. You can take a seat on the lawn,walk around the park’s perimeter, or gather under the pavilion and watch the fountains under the lights. By yourself or with the family, this stop is sure to reset your mood to appreciate the holiday spirit.
4. Window Shopping Getaway
For last-minute gift hunting, some self-care, or just a window shopping break, escape to the Micro Market. Located right in the heart of downtown Midland, there is a delightful cluster of small businesses and boutiques with unique finds. Grab a sweet treat at Cpl. Ray’s Coffee, conveniently located in the Micro Market and stroll through the local Midland businesses! Grab a bite to eat or find a last-minute gift at one of the boutiques.
