Midland, Texas - RONALD BURTON, is everyone’s favorite Rodeo Clown and star of the documentary film that chronicles his life as a rodeo clown, called Man in the Can.

Man in the Can won the Audience Award for Documentary Short at Los Angeles-based festival, Dances with Films, Best Documentary at the Snake Alley Festival of Film, Best Texas Film at the Hill Country Film Festival, and was honored with a special screening at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas. The film has also screened at the Lone Star Film Festival, Anchorage International Film Festival, DocuWest International Film Festival, Hurricane International Film Festival and Oneota Film Festival.

Ronald Burton brings over 15 years of experience as a rodeo clown and entertainer and has thrilled rodeo fans throughout the United States. He is known for his family-friendly humor and comedy acts, which have earned him the honorable distinction of CPRA Contract Act of the Year in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In addition to starring in Man in the Can, Burton has appeared on ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover Home Edition, Discovery Channel’s Battleground Earth and is featured in the Coca-Cola advertisement for the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

Ronald is from Philadelphia, Mississippi, but travels all over the country entertaining rodeo fans of all ages. He is a member of PRCA, CPRA and UPRA. His honors and awards are numerous, including but not limited to: CPRA Contract Act of the Year, CPRA Finals Barrel Man of the Year, SPBR Barrel Man of the Year, TSRA Finals Bullfighter of the Year, PYBR Finals Bullfighter of the Year, FPBR Finals Bullfighter of the Year, TCYBR Finals Bullfighter of the Year, CBRA Finals Bullfighter of the Year, TSRA Rodeo Assn. Clown of the Year and Crazy 8 Bull Riding Series Champion Bullfighter of the Year.

Do not miss seeing Ronald Burton at the second annual Permian Basin Spring Stampede Pro Rodeo at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 with slack Thursday, March 15. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and performances start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15.00 each night, plus fees, or $25 for a two-night ticket. Children under 5 are free. This Cadillac Rodeo Company Production is a second-year event at the Horseshoe Arena and is sanctioned by the UPRA, UPSA, CPRA and the NMRA. Non-members are also welcome to compete in the events of Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Ranch Bronc Riding and Barrel Racing. Kids are welcome to compete in the Mutton Bustin’.

Eleven Time Rodeo Stock Contractor of the Year, Cadillac Rodeo Company will provide the rodeo stock.
