The Byron Johnston Holiday Classic will take place at Midland College Chap Center and at Midland High School and Midland Lee High School on Dec. 26 through 28. Celebrating its twenty‐ first year, the Bryon Johnston Holiday Classic continues to bring a quality high school basketball tournament to Midland to accommodate local high school teams and basketball fans in the area. The tournament will host eight boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams. The tournament will showcase six local teams along with 10 teams from across the state.

Blake Johnston is the tournament director and says visitors should expect a quality high school basketball experience in a well‐organized and accommodating environment.

“When this tournament began in 1993, the goal was to bring top high school basketball teams from across the state—and even the country—to Midland for a first‐class basketball tournament right here in our community,” said Johnston. “The tournament allows our local teams to compete against high‐ level competition while enjoying that experience here in Midland.”

Johnston said a full schedule tournament will be posted in the Midland Reporter‐Telegram later this month. For more information, contact Blake Johnston, tournament director, at (432) 620‐8883.
