Midland, Texas —On Saturday, April 11, through Thursday, April 16, the 55th Annual West Texas Lectureship will be held in Midland at the Lee Street Church of Christ, 101 N. Lee Street. Ministers from several states have prepared 30‐minute lectures to present using this year’s theme: "Set Apart from the World by God's Truth ‐ What Bible Christians Believe.” The event typically brings in around a hundred out‐of‐town visitors to attend the six‐day lectureship.
A musical will kick off this year's event on Saturday, April 11, 4 to 8 p.m., featuring several out‐of‐town a cappella singing groups. There will be congregational singing as well followed by a fellowship meal in the church’s activity building. On Sunday, April 12, the schedule includes morning worship from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; lunch provided in the Activity Building; afternoon sessions from 2 to 3:45 p.m. and evening worship from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday sessions are from 9 to 11:45 a.m., 1:30 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday morning sessions are from 9 to 11:45 a.m. with a banquet from 7 to 9 p.m. at Green Tree Country Club, 4900 Green Tree Blvd.
